Sock-a-holic

My name is Katie and I am a sock-a-holic. I didn’t start out that way. I used to knit scarves, hats and even sweaters. Then something happened. I discovered that you could knit socks. After the first pair, I was never the same. Since that magical day years ago, I have been hording sock yarn, DPNs and patterns – devoting my knitting craft to the sock gods of yore.

I started spinning Memorial Day weekend 2008 after I purchased my lovely Majacraft Rose.  So far, Targhee is my favorite fiber to spin.  I have a lot to learn before I can spin the most perfect sock yarn EVER!

I am happiest with a set DPNs in my hands. Plus knitting needles make a handy weapon.

I heard the sirens song of dyeing sock yarns; they are available in my etsy shop for your knitting pleasure.

I am also a jewelry maker, soap maker and paper crafter. I’ve never met a craft I didn’t like or couldn’t conquer (yet).
