Feeling Blah!
October 23, 2007
I had a four day weekend. It’s always tough to go back to work. The weather today didn’t help.
The weekend was semi-productive but I didn’t do hardly as much dyeing as I intended to. I was kinda ill on Sunday and yesterday was lost to errand running and packing orders. But I’ve got some new colorways in the works. I’ll get up pics when they are done. Some are more festive than others.
The bead show was fun. Mom and I mostly bought sterling silver rings. I did buy a few strands of beads. I have so much stuff already but I had to have these.
I really just wanted to sit and knit for the rest of my time off. That is until Frogfest started. I was bound and determined to use some Yarn Pirate Booty club yarn.
I cast on the Killer bees colorway and BLEH! pooling pooling pooling. Frog! Cast on again with different stitch count. Still the pooling. Frog! Changed needle sizes and stitch counts and at this point I’ve about had it. I love Yarn Pirate yarns and this one is pure EVIL. I snapped a shot before I frogged for the last time and reskeined the yarn. It is now conspiring against me in my stash.
I did like the pattern I came up with before the final frogging. The stitch was getting lost so I went with something more subtle. It was a toss up between some Fleece Artist Merino sock in Peridot or Forest and Yarn Pirate in Sierra. I went with the Sierra.
AHHHHH! Cue the yarny angels. I’m going to write this pattern up. I may even submit it somewhere I like it so much. But I’m a couple of weeks off from even writing it up. I wing it and then write down what I did.
Oh yeah. I finished these socks too on Thursday night. It’s the Frankensock colorway I did for the Sweet Sheep Stripe Club. It’s spooktastic!
