Jitterbuggin’

September 17, 2007

I finished the Regia kid socks on Sunday morning. I hope they fit him. They turned out really cute. I’m not overly crazy about Regia sock yarn as a whole. There is much softer stuff on the market. However this stuff is the standard of sock yarn and wears like iron which makes it perfect for kids.

60 stitches on size 1s US. Linen Stitch Heel.

I decided to get started on my Christmas gift knitting.

I cast on some Colinette Jitterbug in Castanga. I cannot believe how much I love this yarn. It is sproingy and smooshy. It really reminds me of Socks that Rock. I can use my size 3 US needles too for instant gratification! I may have to go to the yarn shop in Medina and pick up some more. The color looks totally different knitted up. I didn’t the olive to pop as much as it does against the rosey overtones.

I added a tab up top for instructions on how to do a Linen Stitch Heel. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to help you.

I’ve been dyeing up some more Halloween yarn for the shop. After that, I’m gonna get to work stocking some “normal/regular” colorways.

Hmmmm…when I knit up my Jitterbug, I might try using 3 mm instead of my usual 2.5 mm. ;-)
