Did You Say Contest????

July 29, 2007

In honor of lasting a whole month blogging, selling over 50 yarns and having over 100 hearts on etsy, my mom’s birthday, and hey cause I want to, I’m having a contest. A random selected person who leaves a comment on this post by Friday August 3rd will win this fabu prize:

Contest!

I finished Mom’s part deux socks. Hurray! It was touch and go for a minute but I found my knitting mojo and completed them last night. I used size one DPNs with my generic cuff down sock pattern. The cuff is 6″ and foot size is 5.5. I barely had any yarn left over so there was no way I could’ve use that yarn for me. This mill end is far softer than the previous Cherry Tree Hill I’ve used. I’m not sure why but very dreamy.

Birthday Sock Part Deux

I even started up a swatch sock for some leftovers I dyed up in some of the stripey colors. I’m gonna knit the Sock With No Mate while I think of the perfect pattern to use with my Funky Carolina “In the Dark” sock yarn. Carrie special dyed this for me so I don’t want to be hasty in the pattern picking process.

In the Dark

The Sweet Sheep order is moving along. I had to make a run to Target for a rack to dry yarn and some plastic totes. I’ve never had this much yarn in play before. I love it and am having so much fun coming up with a special colorway just for her shop. My super cool new yarn tags should be here tomorrow (according to DHL tracking).

And if you get a second, check out No Knit Sherlock’s awesome Day of the Dead photo and the new Lovesticks Flickr group!

The Funky Carolina is gorgeous — I know you’ll find a rockin’ pattern! Am about to head into Cherry Hill country and can’t wait to stop at some of the local (hurray for Barton VT) shops that have CTH Supersock along with maple syrup, postcards, and great coffee.

Congratulations on all the success with your etsy shop! I totally understand why you have so many hearts. Your customer service is fantastic and you ship your goodies out so fast. Thanks again. I can’t wait to knit up my new yummy yarn that I recieved last week. Once I have a set of needles free your lovely yarn is next in line.
By the way the socks look great…Your mom will love them and if she doesn’t you can always send them my way…haha…they are just the right size. :) Just kidding.

Hurrah and congrats on your store! I’m kinda sad that the CTH wouldn’t be enough for your feet, but the ones for your mom look great! (I guess you can make heels and toes socks with the green batch for you if needed. :)

    Congrats!

I heart sock yarn! I think I’m addicted to it…so many colors and textures that I just can’t get enough!

For the sock yarn Carolina dyed for you, maybe a simple pattern would do best. It has soo many different colours I think it may distort a pattern. =/
Goodluck with Sweet Sheep. Question, what is their normal order size? Out of curiousity.
